Junket Cottage is a smart contemporary semi-detached cottage above the river in the Devon waterside village of Noss Mayo. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a double with en suite shower room and a twin, plus a downstairs bathroom. On the ground floor is a hall, a sitting room with wood burning stove and a kitchen with dining area. Outside is a seating area with furniture and steps leading down to a shared slipway, mooring and quay beside the river. Just 500 yards from the popular waterside inns, Junket Cottage is a smashing place for a relaxing and interesting break in Devon. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Central heating with wood burning stove. Microwave, fridge, freezer, tumble dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with DVD, WiFi, Phone, Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Off road parking for three cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, no puppies under 1 year. Please note there is a supplementary charge for the 2nd pet. Sorry no smoking.

The tiny, pretty village of Noss Mayo is hidden away on the southern bank of the Yealm Estuary and is home to two good pubs. Across the water is the larger village of Newton Ferrers, and you can get between the two villages by a causeway at low tide and a seasonal ferry that operates a triangular route and calls in at the SW Coastal Path, Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers. Newton Ferrers has a local butcher, chemist and Post Office. The village pub has fantastic views across the water towards Noss Mayo and the creek. The area is blessed with many walks that meander along the waterside and across the fields, while to the north Dartmoor's high tors and open spaces beckon those who love wild country. The city of Plymouth with its shops, Marine Aquarium and Barbican quayside area is just 10 miles away.
