This semi-detached cottage is situated on Dartmoor, two miles from the Devon village of Lydford, and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Two ground floor double bedrooms, one super king and the other king size with en suite shower room with shower, WC, basin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC, basin. Upstairs open plan living space with seating area, dining area and kitchen.
Batavia is a stylish semi-detached cottage on an old Devon farmstead on Dartmoor. The cottage sleeps four people in two downstairs double bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, plus a family bathroom. On the top floor is an open plan living space with seating area, dining area and kitchen area. Outside is a small enclosed lawn with picnic table and a signed route past lakes to open moorland. Two miles from the pretty village of Lydford with its two pubs, Batavia is an excellent base for an active or peaceful Devon holiday. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Nestling among mature woodland on the western slopes of Dartmoor, the historic village of Lydford is a jewel in this area of outstanding scenic beauty. To the north, just half a mile away, the high tors come right down to the village edge, while to the south the River Lyd winds its way through Lydford Forest on its tumbling course northwards.

"Welcoming, warm, cosy, attractive, pet friendly cottage, set in lovely surroundings. Friendly helpful hosts. Next to Lydford gorge which is beautiful. From the cottage you can wake up to views of the moors from your bedroom window, and sit in the evening watching the sun set over the moors. Plenty of places to go and see, Walkers paradise."
"Batavia was a lovely cottage, clean, well appointed, friendly welcome from family dogs and very comfortable 6ft bed. Location could not have been better. Great for cycling, walking and horseriding. Generous welcome food package inc scones and jam! The owners came to say hello and to check if everything was OK, which was very appreciated."
