Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc.in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Secure bike storage. Enclosed rear lawned garden with hot tub, fire pit and furniture. One well behaved dog welcome,will accept two small well behaved dogs by request only please check with the office prior to booking. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Note: This property has steep cottage stairs.

A peaceful village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, Glaisdale is set amongst beautiful countryside in the heart of the Esk Valley. The village itself has a post office in the general store, an excellent butcher (famed for his pork pies) and one hotel/pub, with restaurant. Further afield, Whitby and the coast are just 9 miles away whilst the quaint moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale and the market town of Pickering are all within easy touring distance. For something a little quieter, why not take a trip to the less-discover gem of Saltburn by the Sea, a charming, Victorian seaside resort. The terminus of the North York Moors Railway is at nearby Grosmont, inviting you to take a steam railway ride back in history through beautiful moorland scenery.

"Had a great week at Swang Cottage, Rosie met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property and all the info required for a trouble free week, the cottage is ideal for touring the area and visiting the seaside towns, also the moor walks are on the doorstep. The hot tub is a great addition to the cottage and there is a selection of good pubs in the local area for meals out. We would highly recommend this property and a big thanks to Rosie the owner."
"Cottage very well equipped and nicely decorated. Lovely "welcome" pack, we didn't need the woodburners as we had wall to wall sunshine. Fantastic sunsets from lounge window. Hot tub great after a day out walking on moors straight from cottage. Steam train trips nearby ( great for Harry potter and heartbeat fans) Good pubs nearby for eating out"
"We booked a long weekend at this dog friendly cottage and we are so glad we did!!!! On arrival the owner met us to give us a quick guide to how everything worked, and left a welcome basket full off goodies including wine, logs for the fire and other essential items. It is beautiful decorated and Immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need!! After a long walk on the Yorkshire Moors the hot tub in the garden eased our aching muscles. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back xx"
