Gas range cooker with 3 ovens and hob, American fridge/freezer with ice maker and chilled water, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, Belfast sink, TV, DVD. Gas, electric and logs included. Bed linen and towels provided. Highchair available. Ample off road parking. Enclosed patio, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Pub 5 mins drive. Walking and cycling trails on the doorstep. No stag/hen parties, please.

Sedgwick is a small, quiet village approx 4.5 miles south of Kendal. A historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping, Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th Century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town.

"A stunning little hideaway. We went to see in the New Year and couldn't be happier with our choice. Beautifully decorated inside and out in an idyllic location beside a bubbling stream. Very helpful neighbours, lots of walks and bike rides on your doorstep. All the modern facilities you need inside a beautiful cottage. Toasty warm inside with a log burner for those winter nights. Very tempted to change the locks and stay forever"
