"We've just returned from a week staying at this gorgeous cottage and it was perfect! We were made to feel very welcome from the start and the cottage facilities are so brilliant, everything has been thought of, even down to tea and coffee and some lovely wine which was so thoughtful. The cottage is very spacious, there was plenty of room for my family with 3 children. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms had blinds and curtains. There was space to park the car, a lovely little garden patio area and paddock/picnic area. There are books and leaflets within the cottage with lots of information on attractions, events and walks. We found the location perfect too. It is just off the A66 so within 10 minutes of Penrith and Keswick. Also very close to Ullswater, Derwentwater and lots of fantastic walks and scenery. We had a fantastic week exploring and then spent cosy nights at the cottage sitting outside and playing games. Fantastic memories made, we'll be booking again!"

"We booked Daisy cottage as a last minute break away. We where pleasantly surprised. On arrival as we where greeted by Moira who gave us a tour of Daisy cottage. On arrival we had been supplied with a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and sugar. The cottage was ample enough room for our little family, there was a safe space outside for the young ones to run around and older ones can play table tennis and basketball. The cottage was clean, as was all the bed linen and towels. When we ran out of dishwasher tablets Moira was happy to supply more for us (which to me was such a kind thing to do). For people with young children, we where supplied with stair gates for top and bottom, children's plates and cutlery, high chair, building bricks and cars, books and DVD's. It was amazing to have these things supplied. My dad even said that he would move into the cottage in a heartbeat. We loved it so much that we are already trying to plan and return in the very near future,"

"The cottage was really easy to find and I was welcomed straight away by the cottage owner. It had everything you need and more for a holiday at the Lakes, very well presented and there was lots of information about the surrounding area, with leaflets and books in the living room and the utility room. The cottage is really spacious and very comfortable. I was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed spending some time at the local pubs and shops (Penrith is really close and easy to drive to). Although the cottage is close to the a66, you can't hear the traffic. I will most definitely be going back for a visit soon, it was the nicest place I have stayed in for a long time!"

"Three of us stayed in the cottage for a little under a week and absolutely loved it. Cosy and warm, plenty of space and equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We were there in early spring and had stunning views of the snow-capped northern fells just out of the gate, and it was only a short drive to Ullswater or Keswick for walks, supplies or even more fantastic landscape. David was a fantastic host, friendly and informative, and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out of a bind when we lost the keys to our rental car. Holiday would have been something of a disaster without him I think! All in all, great cottage, would book again."

"Everything in the cottage was spotlessly clean and wanted nothing in respect of equipment and furnishings. There was plenty to do in the area surrounding Daisy Cottage including some very welcoming hostelries and restaurants. Moria and David (the owners) were very welcoming, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would not hesitate to visit again."

"We loved our stay at Daisy Cottage, the welcome pack was appreciated, and all the essentials were there, from washing up liquid to handwash, to a bottle of wine...the cottage was clean and comfortable, with lovely views and attractive outside spaces, including a paddock where our grandson could play football and let off steam. The utility room was packed with dvds and books as well as a washing machine if needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and Moira had very kindly printed off some vouchers for local attractions for us when we arrived. Definitely recommended!"

"We stayed here with our three boys, and found the cottage excellent. There was a hiccup in the booking, but we were quickly contacted by the agent to explain things. A warm welcome from the owners on arrival and the boys were shown the field and barn where there was table tennis and footballs waiting... The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, well looked after and had everything we needed. Don't be put off by being near a main road - it is quiet at night and the view of fields and sheep is still there... The place was very cosy and welcoming - we would happily go back."

"Lovely cottage, very clean, beautifully furnished, I could live there permanently! Lovely touch to have dishwasher tablets, hand wash etc provided. Only downside is proximity to the a66, road noise not a problem from inside the cottage, but I would imagine it would be a bit annoying when sitting outside on a nice day."
