The village of Coldingham is in between farmland above Coldingham Bay. With a beach and canoeing and surfing, the village also offer shops, pubs and restaurants. St. Abbs, a fishing village is one mile away and its Nature Reserve is renowned for birds and marine life, which attracts sub aqua divers the world over. Fishing and diving excursions can be purchased here. This area is ideal for exploring The Scottish Borders and Northumberland, with their coastlines, walking, golf, horse riding, cycling and fishing. Further inland, discover abbeys, castles, stately homes and gardens. Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its Elizabethan walls is worth a visit and within easy reach are Holy Island, the Farne Islands and the coastal villages of Dunbar, Craster and Seahouses.

"Rose cottage was a delight. We would go out for trips in the mornings and be back mid afternoon with our books and stretch out on a sofa for an afternoon of dozing and reading - bliss! The cottage was warm and fitted with everything we needed. I found the bed a bit hard but i seldom stay anywhere that had a comfy bed! Out seems a rarity."
"This home was fabulous. The owner made us feel so welcome and the location was very convenient for both day trips and if you wanted to stay close by. You can walk to pubs, shops and a fabulous butchers shop. The home was just as advertised except the gardens are even more beautiful. I will definitely book again if I come back to this area."

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy, Plenty space and very well equipped, extremely quiet although central to shop pub/restaurant and a much appreciated by the grandchildren play-park.Owner was so helpful and pleasantly accommodating.
