Middleton is a village just outside of the Peak District and has two pubs. Nearby Wirksworth has shops and other amenities. The surrounding countryside is a walker's and cyclist's paradise, with the High Peak Cycle Trail nearby. Nearby Matlock provides a range of shops and pubs, whilst National Trust properties and museums fill the area.
