Emily's Retreat at the Great Barn is part of a ground floor converted barn near the village of Litcham in East Anglia. It offers one double bedroom and a shower room, the property can sleep up to two people. Inside it also has a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with an optional sofa bed. To the outside it offers plenty of off road parking and a rear garden with a lawn and a patio with furniture. Emily's Retreat at the Great Barn is a homely getaway placed well for exploring Norfolk's countryside, coastline and wonderful towns.

Electric storage heaters, 2 x electric fire, 1 x portable electric radiator. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, TV, DVD, WiFI, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Linen and towel inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Enclosed lawn and patio with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Note: This property has grab rails, rise and recline chairs for those with limited mobility, a shower stool or chair can be provided on request. Note: This property is not wheelchair accessible. Note: Parking for this property is in front of the main barn. To access Emily's retreat, you will need to walk down the side of the main property through a shared gate and then along a gravel path to the retreat. (As seen in photograph). There is a 'Z' bed available for extra child on request.

Litcham, a Norfolk village, hasa pub, a butcher, a Post Office/shop, and a fish and chip shop. It has a 12th century church and the area offers a number of events. Litcham Common, a Local Nature Reserve, attracts nature lovers, bird-watchers and walkers. East Dereham, Swaffham and Fakenham are around 10 miles away, providing access to a shops, pubs and restaurants.

"Emily's Retreat is a spacious, comfortable bungalow, furnished and furbished to a high standard. The owner Nici has supplied many very thoughtful extras, from wine to plasters to bedside torches. The property was spotlessly clean (vital of course today) and there were numerous cleaning products you could use. There is a huge selection of DVDs and books. The bed was super comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. The garden is quite magical and a tranquil delight to sunbathe in, if you are lucky with the weather. The bungalow felt slightly cold and damp, but we were the first visitors of the reopening after lockdown and we had several days of rain. There are storage heaters and electric heaters to keep you cosy. There were a few annoying flies so this might be a problem in a hot summer.The bungalow is well situated for visits to many attractions. I recommend Gooderstone Water Gardens - absolutely beautiful, and Norfolk Lavender which makes for an interesting stop on the way to the coastal resorts. We bought a lovely hand painted glass solar bird bath (very reasonable cost) and the lavender cake is delicious. All in all we had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at Emily's Retreat."
