This market town sits in Leicestershire in England's East Midlands and was mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book, it lies in between Leicester and Rugby. Centred by a well-stocked High Street lined with charming architecture and a range of fine amenities, Lutterworth also hosts a weekly market and offers a golf club. The city of Leicester is certainly worth a visit with it stunning buildings, parks and a number of things to see and do. The city of Coventry is also accessible and is also worth a look around for the day.

"Unfortunately, when we arrived at approx 8pm in the evening after an arduous journey from the South East of England, we found there to be no water available in the property. After phoning each of the 3 numbers left in the information pack provided by the hosts and receiving no response, my husband went to find the farmhouse itself and was told by a relative of the hosts that she too had no water and had not been informed as to why, but thought that they may be doing some work somewhere on the farm? As we had not had a drink since leaving home and wanted to cook our meal, not to mention use a bathroom, this was not a good start to our break. Eventually after about an hour and a half we did get water, which had so much orange muddy sediment in it we couldn't use it without boiling it first. We also had to endure some horrendous noises coming from a locked cupboard in the downstairs bathroom, which continued through the night. The following morning we again experienced water failure so we assumed there was a leak somewhere in the area which maybe was being worked on. Knowing that we were experiencing problems we did assume that perhaps the hosts would call in to see how we were managing, but for the entire time we stayed at the property, Friday to Tuesday, we saw nothing of them whatsoever!!! I wouldn't expect necessarily to see the house owners during a holiday rental, but this was slightly outside the norm. we felt. This was all a shame as the house itself is lovely, very clean and comfortable (especially the beds :-) ) for 8 guests, if a little near the motorway, which would cause a problem in the hot summer evenings if you wanted a window open. The noise of the traffic can very definitely be heard, although is dampened by the double glazing. A couple of other small niggles, were the outside light which was not fit for purpose when trying to unload a car on the driveway in the dark, it was difficult to see to even get the key in the door, plus the lack of a full length mirror anywhere in the house was surprising. We did eventually also find cutlery on our arrival which had been left in the un-emptied dishwasher. Perhaps a guest feedback book where guest can jot down these minor points would be of use. Overall our stay was fine, we had booked as a celebratory weekend for a family get together and everyone enjoyed themselves in spite of the bad weather (storm Dennis)."
