Gas central heating. Ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, Wi-Fi, DVD, selection of books and games in the dresser. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking anywhere in the courtyard .Private rear lawned garden with furniture (accessed around the back of the cottage), charcoal BBQ. Sorry, no dogs and no smoking. Shops and pubs 5 mins walk. Note: There are two small steps up to the bathroom and a further two steps up to the twin bedroom.

The village of Thornton-le-Dale is situated close to Pickering on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Thornton-le-Dale offers a pretty village green which still has wooden stocks and a market cross, with amenities coming in the form of shops, pubs and tea rooms. Pickering boasts a good range of enhanced amenities and the famous North York Moors Steam Railway is worth a visit, whilst the city of York is within driving distance.

"We were booked for a week at puddleduck cottage, 23-30th of August, we had to leave first thing the morning of the 26th, due to, I can only call it an infestation of spiders, which were huge. My Grand daughter is terrified of them so we spent most of Sunday, 25th, cleaning the whole cottage, including trying to get rid of so many cobwebs from ceiling to floor, dust, muck and filth we even cleaned the ornaments took the mats outside to rid them of dust!!! The cottage itself is lovely and we were absolutely gutted to find it in such a state. We have stayed in holiday accommodation all over the county and never have we had to clean, just so we could make the stay a happy one, and then have to leave."
