Wirksworth is a market town situated just a few miles from Matlock, on the edge of The Peak District. Wirksworth is full of character with many buildings of architectural interest. Visitors will enjoy the surrounding countryside including nearby Carsington Water, Black Rocks and the High Peak Trail. Rock climbing and cycling can be enjoyed here at every level, and there is walking all around.

"This cottage was all that it claimed to be.comfortable with everything you could ever need.slightly quirky with wonderful original features made it a fascinating place to stay.lovely courtyard garden to enjoy the sunshine and a stones throw from a unique friendly little pub the feathers . We had easter lunch at la mistral which we would highly recommend.wirksworth offers all that you need and a great base to explore the Peak District.the owner left a lovely welcome basket of fruit and milk in the fridge,we will certainly return."
