This spacious detached cottage boasts characterful features and is set in the lovely village of Silecroft, it can sleep 10 guests altogether. Over three floor. Four bedrooms: 1 x second floor family room with a double and a single and a trundle bed, 2 x double, 1 x king size double. Bathroom with roll-top bath, separate walk-in shower, chaise-longue, basin and WC, ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Utility. Dining room. Sitting room with woodburning stove. Conservatory with dining area. Games room. Study.
Hickory House is a beautiful three storey property resting in the charming village of Silecroft in Cumbria. Playing host to four lovely double bedrooms, including a family room on the second floor with a double and a single pull-out bed, this cottage can sleep 10 people. There is also a bathroom, a ground floor shower room, a kitchen, utility room, conservatory with a dining table, another dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner. To the outside is an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, a hot tub and an external shower. There is also ample off-road parking. Hickory House is a home-from-home in a delightful region of Cumbria. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Oil central heating with woodburning stove. AGA range cooker, 2 single ovens, induction hob, fridge, full size freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TV with Sky and Blu-ray, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVD's Fuel, power and starter pack for fire/stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Stairgate, travel cot and highchair available on request. Ample off-road parking. Storage for 6 bikes. Large enclosed garden with patio, furniture, hot tub and outdoor shower. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 3 miles and pub 1 mile. Note: Check in is 4pm and check out 10am.

"Me and 9 of my friends stayed at the house travelling from York. The owner, Helen, was very helpful with directions and any other questions or requests we had. The house was very modern and clean when we arrived and all the rooms were lovely. The best part by far was the hot tub which was lovely and easy to control. The beach was only a short walk away and was very quiet and perfect for playing rounders. Overall an amazing holiday and we would love to return again!"

"Recently returned from a family of 9 celebration. The house looks much better in real life than the photos and is very big. All the views are stunning and hot tub is awesome! The kitchen is the best room of the house, very large, new appliances and modern. Very nice touch from owners of cake, milk, juice and eggs. The dinning room was in the conservatory so again lovely views and all 9 ate together with enough room. They have 2 lounges, we only used one for playing games. Ample seating and comfy chairs. The bedrooms are big but furniture a little dated and very squeaky in one room. Very large and modern bathroom with free standing bath and walk in shower. The shower did have a mind of its own and kept going hot and cold. Thankfully there is another shower room and toilet down stairs. The do have a smaller kitchen too so enough storage. We really loved the house and would have rated it 5/5 If the bedroom furniture was a little better and shower was ok. The other issue was flies in the house and kitchen. They came off a rose bush in the front porch so be quick at getting in and out of the house. You can walk to beach as about 1.5 mile and pub in village. Wonderful stay and we all really enjoyed it! "
