Overview
This lovely barn is near the village of Chapel Amble in Cornwall and can sleep two people in one bedroom Over two floors. Ground floor: Open plan living space, kitchen with extra wide breakfast bar, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Mezzanine level accessed by open tread ladder steps: One bedroom: 1 x double. (Ceiling height is 1.7m at centre and 0.75 metres in eaves).
Cider Barn is located on the periphery of the picturesque rural village of Chapel Amble, equidistant from Port Isaac, to the north and Rock to the south, both being only 5 miles away. There is one bedroom and one bathroom sleeping two. An open plan living space provides all creature comforts with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dining and sitting area with woodburner for cooler evenings. There is an enclosed south facing garden with lawn and patio for al fresco dining, BBQ or simply lounging around on sunny days. Cider Barn is a romantic haven for couples through the seasons. Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Port Isaac is a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast, until the mid nineteenth century, it was a very busy port, handling goods such as stone, coal and timber. Stunning views of the harbour can be enjoyed whilst walking along the cliff top, whilst the harbour itself provides the perfect spot to relax and while away the hours.The delightful harbourside pubs offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. In the summer months fishing trips can be taken from the harbour. The popular ITV series, Doc Martin, is filmed in Port Isaac, and the village was also the location for Poldark.

"We were so disappointed when we arrived..... Dirty with dead flies everywhere, garden over grown, Sun beds covered in mold, no hamper, no St Kitz toiletries as advertised... this place is much smaller than it looks in the photo`s and far too expensive for what it is... even the remotes did not work for the TV and DVD. We booked for 7 nights, but only stayed 1.... It took Sykes 7 months to sort out a refund and that was only because I kept phoning them every few weeks, I never ever spoke to the same person in so called `Customer Services` they were a joke, I would not recommend this place and I will never book with Sykes ever again. "We stayed at Cider Barn for 1 week and used the accommodation as a base for exploring Cornwall. The barn is well equipped and an excellent welcome pack is provided. The facilities are good if you want to cook or just relax with a take out. The barn is quite remote which is nice if your looking for peace and quiet. Overall we had a good stay, however bookers should be aware that the bedroom is in the roof space and is accessed via a steep ladder. The head hight is not great and at 5ft 6 I could just stand up. If you have mobility issues you should contact the renter or OLA to discuss. The bathroom is on the ground floor, which was an issue for me negotiating the ladder from the loft bedroom late at night. I only marked this down because maintenance and cleanliness needs some attention to detail. This was fairly minor. The barn is very dog friendly and our pooch loved it. I would recommend this accommodation but because of the bedroom situation I would not book it again."
