This country cottage is near the village of Colebrooke in Mid Devon and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, zip link can be super king-size double on request. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area, sitting area with woodburning stove.
Apple Cottage stands overlooking a pretty cider orchard, alongside its sister cottage Plum in private grounds, just outside the villages of Colebrook and slightly larger Coleford in central Mid Devon. A rural location, peaceful and picturesque and perfect for exploring by rail, bike or on foot with the station nearby at Yeoford. Apple cottage has been transformed from what was once an old cob and stone barn into a beautiful Eco-friendly cottage, tastefully renovated with modern country cottage interior. A welcoming open plan living space is warmed not only by Eco friendly heating central and underfloor heating, but also with a wood burning stove, making it an ideal out of season rural escape. There are two first floor bedrooms offering versatile sleeping and a modern shower room. Outside a little area with table and chairs is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee and parking is opposite. A trip into the nearby market town of Crediton will take less than 7 minutes where you will find a good selection of shops, pubs and supermarkets. The village pub at Coleford, The New Inn can be reached on foot in 20 mins. A wonderful base for exploring this beautiful unspoiled region of Devon, Apple Cottage is a wonderful choice for all seasons. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Colebrook is a tiny village surrounded by green rolling hills and countryside in rural mid Devon. Close to the village of Colebrook with a great foodie pub The New Inn and the larger market town of Crediton. An idyllic and peaceful spot and an ideal base for walkers. The village is close to the rail line at Yeoford, making visiting the region possible without car, where exploring can be done on foot, by bike or by train. Join the Rail Ale Trail, a rail journey winding its way through the beautiful Yeo and Taw valleys between Exeter and Barnstaple on the North Coast. The city of Exeter is a wonderful day out whether you enjoy shopping, fine dining or visiting the historic cathedral and the medieval underground tunnels. Dartmoor National Park can be reached in less than 30 mins by car and beaches of Exmouth just 45 mins.
