"My mother in law book this cottage through Sykes. We arrive Friday afternoon in 2 cars as there was 5 adults and a dog. We both parked outside the reading room not blocking the steps. Next day we all went out and when we came back we were passively attacked by an old guy who lived in The Old Post office to say we were in his parking space. A few days later we asked a man in the Reading Room would he mind moving his car so we could get 1 vehicle in and he said No he was fed up as this was his house and parking space. We were advised that you could park outside. Skywest said they were sorry about this and would amend their description. Beware this is a main narrow road and you cannot park on both sides of the road. You have to park 200 metres away in a housing cul de sac. The cottage is very small and not full cottage character. The bathroom needs an update the shower is very testing and can burn or freeze you. There are 4 dinning room chairs one of these was broke and there were 5 of us. The kitchen has no extract fan so it can get a bit much when cooking so advise opening all the windows as there is no back door. It is clean but very basic. It was a little cool in the evenings so we had to take the electric heater out the lounge for us to sit in the dinning room to eat and chat about our day. Feock is a lovely village you have the Bowl and Ladel pub not walking distance but very nice food but not large portions. Cornwall is a lovely place for example St Ives, St Agnes, Falmouth, St Michaels Mount and much more. Be careful with the Sat Nav as it sent us down some very narrow lanes. The weather was very good to us. Just a shame that there were 2 people who live in feock that let the village down."

"We had a lovely holiday in feock, really sweet little cottage, cosy warm and well equiped. The cottage has a vintage feel about it, which we really liked. Feock is a lovely place to stay, with the beach just 10 mins away, we enjoyed kayaking in the carrick roads, and had great dog walks in trellisick gardens. The cottage is great value for money and I am glad I ignored the negative comments."

"I have sent this to Cornish holidays and also Sykes who have just taken them over but do they care,NO. The age of the cottage has nothing to do with the following report, just poor property management/cleaning supervision. Some points which are very concerning and potentially dangerous-- Large slab of slate which is propped up against the side of the porch ( would take 2 men to lift) at an acute angle, should children be playing unsupervised it could fall on them and seriously injure them. Tested the fire alarm and would not turn off (faulty). Chairs in dining area some are unstable and one in particular has the struts very loose and could could injury if sat on and collapses. Cleaning-- large amount of cobwebs around the Rayburn area and hearth/cobwebs over the door into the kitchen.Only 1 black bag left for the week/empty kitchen cleaning products left under sink. There is a plug for the sink but it is too small, why does someone buy a product knowing it is unsuitable for use? Some bowls still had food stick to them,so we washed all our crockery before use. Three clocks not working as batteries flat. Vacuum cleaner stinks when used.Garden area could be nice but full of brambles which will scratch children playing. Bathroom no slip mat for the bath --as there is a shower over the bath a slip mat should be provided. Overall the cottage could be very nice as the location is very good it is let down by poor property management and unsupervised cleaning,in view of this i have a provisional booking for March 2018 which i would like cancelled as this holiday gives me no confidence in future stays. I can supply photos to confirm the above points which should be dealt with as a matter of urgency. There are numerous negative comments in the visitors book which obviously have not been passed on."
