Gas central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking in garage behind property for 1 Car. Gravelled garden with decking, patio and furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub less than 1 mile. Note: The stairs are open to one side, please take care and make sure children are supervised.

Grasmere is a village in the Lake District National Park, housing shops, pubs, a 13th century church and Grasmere Lake, plus Grasmere Sports takes place every August. 5 miles away is Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th-century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere.

"We had a fantastic family holiday at 1 Field Foot - note that it sleeps 6, with 1 double room, 1 single room, and a converted attic with 1 double and 1 single bed - effectively a family suite on the top floor (including shower room). The situation was perfect as in the centre of the village but set back from the main street, so very peaceful. The kitchen/diner has been recently refitted to a very high standard, the beds are comfortable and the while house is very homely, with many original features and tasteful decor and fittings. There is a parking space for one car - our family group had two, but this was not a problem as there was plenty of local parking (for a small charge) available at this time of year - may not be true in the summer. The only drawback for us was the steep staircase to the top floor, and no stair gate so we could not use that area for our small grandson - we would say this would also not be suitable for an elderly or infirm person. The owner and the neighbours are very friendly and helpful and we felt this was a good-value break in a sought-after village in the Lakes."
