Situated a ten minute drive from Northumberland National Park, The Mistal is in a fantastic location for exploring this area.

Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Three well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 1 min walk. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms.

The small, pretty Northumberland village of Glanton is situated in the foothills of the Cheviots and surrounded by glorious countryside. The village has a shop and a pub, whilst a wide range of amenities, shops etc. are available in the nearby county town of Alnwick. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick with its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!) and the impressive castle gardens.

"The accommodation is modern, clean and an enjoyable place to return to after a busy day out. With Holy Island, Alnwick Castle/Gardens, Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses (boat trips to see the Grey Seals), Berwick upon Tweed, the rest of the Northumberland Coast all within easy driving distance and the Kielder Forest visitor centres just a little further, the location is ideal. We are dog owners and there is no garden but the pluses outweigh the minor inconvenience of not having a garden."
