Lower lodge is a cosy Tudor-style lodge situated in the village of Cressbrook in the Peak District and offers panoramic views of the River Wye and valley. The cottage sleeps two with one double bedroom. There is a bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower, basin and WC. There is a kitchen, living room with open fire and a dining area. Outside there is a large shared terrace with stunning river views. There is off road parking available and one well behaved dog is welcome. This property is unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Lower Lodge is the perfect cottage for a couple to enjoy a romantic break away in the Peak District. Shared use of washing machine and tumble dyer in external utility. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent.Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking within estate grounds. Shared use of own patio and shared use of communal grounds within the estate, including swings, football pitch and BBQ area. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: There are steep stairs to the first floor and 4 steps up to the bathroom. This property is unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Note: River and pond easily accessible, children to be supervised at all times. Note: Breakfast can be ordered from the main Hall at an extra charge. Note: Fishing day tickets can be purchased ? please ask the owner for more details. Note:There is np WIFI in the cottage. Cressbrook is located on the River Wye and its focal point is the mill, which was built in 1779. Follow the footpath upstream of Cressbrook Mill to Water-cum-Jolly, which is superb for rock climbers, birdwatchers and walkers. North of the mill lies the lane to Ravensdale, which is adjacent to Cressbrook Dale, a gorge-like limestone dale with numerous crags and the remains of several lead mines. Cressbrook Dale is a National Nature Reserve renowned for its range of rare flowers.

"A lovely cosy warm home with open fire. The cottage is quietly located on the edge of a beautiful estate with an impressive manor house. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Great walking from the door along an amazing valley which is visable from the lodge. Will definitely stay again in this or one of the other properties on the estate."
