Willow Cottage is a delightful cottage set on the owners' working livestock farm, just less than three miles from the village of Staindrop and five miles from Barnard Castle. This cottage sleeps two people and has a double bedroom with en-suite shower, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside there's off road parking for one car and bench to the front of the property and shared use of a lawned garden with small pond. Willow Cottage is a great base for a couple with plenty to see and do within reach. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Electric heaters with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, fridge, washing machine, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi, selection of DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and Highchair available. Ample off road parking. Bench and outdoor furniture at front of cottage. Shared lawned garden with small pond on farm. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedroom. Note: Bedroom opens directly to the stairs. Note: Stairs are open-tread. Note: Small, unfenced pond in shared lawned garden. Note: Some road noise can be heard when outside. Note: A touring caravan park, which is open from March to October is situated in one of the fields on-site.

The pretty Teesdale village of Staindrop has always been closely associated with the fortunes of nearby Raby Castle and its owners. Staindrop has many interesting shops, pubs and cafes set round its long village green. The popular market town of Barnard Castle is 5 miles away, with its castle, the Bowes Museum, plus of course its wide range of shops and tea rooms. Walkers will enjoy the many walks around Teesdale.
