Brompton lies just 1.5 miles from the market town of Northallerton. This village is now a conservation area and old cottages line the streets, with an ancient stream meandering down the main street. The village takes you back in time, consisting mainly of older properties, three village greens and a playground. There are also two local pubs, a village shop and a church.
