Demeter Cottage is a charming terraced fisherman's cottage in Whitby. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a second floor king-size double and a twin room. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a gas living flame-effect fire. Outside there is a patio with furniture and parking is available in local pay and display car parks. Set just five minute's walk from the beach, Demeter Cottage is a fantastic pet-friendly cottage which provides an ideal base. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.

"My partner and I stayed for a long weekend with our dog. It's a fantastic cottage very clean and comfortable and the owner left us biscuits and drinks too. In a great location just a few minutes from bars and restaurants but set back through a courtyard and up some steps so felt very peaceful and our dog loved exploring all the little hideaway areas round the steps. Would definitely stay here again."
"I have just come back from a long weekend away at this cottage. The owners are very considerate of their guests. They asked us if we were happy to have Christmas decorations up before we arrived...we were and the cottage was made to look so cosy and christmassy. There was a bottle of fizz and cake to greet us. The cottage was immaculate throughout and so inviting that we were only too happy to go back in from the cold in front of the gorgeous fire. We had our dog with us and the owners were very happy for us to take her and gave us great advice on where to get her homemade doggy treats. I would highly recommend this cottage and hope to go back in the future."
