This all ground floor cottage is on the Stoneleigh Holiday Village near Sidmouth and sleeps six people in three bedrooms. All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 2 x twin. Bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, separate shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
Rose is an all ground floor cottage on the Stoneleigh Holiday Village near Sidmouth. The bungalow sleeps six people in three bedrooms which are a double with an en-suite shower room and two twin rooms. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. Patio doors lead you out to the patio with a picnic bench and the shared lawned gardens. There is also off road parking for two cars. Rose is a lovely cottage, ideal for a family holiday at any time of year. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books and games, shared on-site WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 2 cars. Patio with picnic bench. Shared use of lawned garden. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop, pub and beach 2 miles. Note: Shared WiFi can be intermittent.

Sidmouth is an elegant seaside resort on the south Devon stretch of Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site of great natural beauty. Here is where the River Sid cuts through the Devon hills to meet the sea at Lyme Bay, creating a clean pebbly beach, giving way to golden sands at low tide backed by dramatic red cliffs creating a safe family beach with rockpools and safe bathing. Sidmouth is lined with stylish Regency cream-and-white architecture, creating an elegant Esplanade which makes for a relaxing stroll whilst looking out towards Beer Head.

"If you want a holiday cottage which bears no relation to the above photos put up on this website , then this is the cottage for you! We were greeted by an Italian with little or no english, who is based in Bude. ( something about worries?) Luckily we have been coming to this cottage for over nine years now, so we knew how to find it. The last time was three years ago. My how it has deteriorated - it was the show house on our initial stay, and is now in need of an overhaul to say the least. The grounds surrounding it haven't been tended to in ages, lovely views of meadows of long grass with builders fencing ( They were going to build some more cottages about three years ago, but have seemed to have run out of money or willpower) The Cottage had not been hoovered, in fact there is no hoover to use. The cottage was damp, black mould on mortar joints to the bathrooms walls. The shower head was coming away from the wall, no door, no light above vanity. No window blind in ensuite. The electric towel rail was loose. Damp on ceiling in middle bedroom. Fire Alarm covered up in Kitchen. (surely this is against the law?) The Front door lower hinge is loose! No reading lighting within living areas Mismatched glasses & crockery, no tea strainer - essential to an Englishman! one small tea towel provided Dirty bowl within sink - not used during stay! The whole place needs decorating inside and out. The terrace needs weeding, There is a loose paving. The flower pots had dead flowers and weeds One patio door does't open. The floor in the living room is badly scratched by the opening patio doors. I have taken photos if anyone is interested. Sykes were not forthcoming when contacted before our visit to confirm whether towels were provided."
