Brixton is a popular village set in the beauty of the rolling South Hams countryside, and within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park to the north and the stunning rugged coastline with hidden coves and picturesque harbours to the south. Brixton has a village shop, pub and restaurant. Five miles away is Plymouth, which offers extensive cultural and recreational facilities including theatres, a shopping centre, historic Barbican area and numerous bars and eating places.

"This cottage was the perfect base for our stay in Devon. Spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and with all the equipment needed for cooking. The Kingsize bed was a major plus point - we both slept very well. We loved the view from the large window and enjoyed watching a variety of birds come to the feeders."

"The cottage is a 1st floor apartment in the grounds of a larger house. It is a lovely apartment, thoughtfully furnished and equipped. The village of Brixton is charming and a great centre for discovering South Devon, Plymouth, Dartmoor, Looe etc. We especially loved our visit to Saltram House and grounds [National Trust], just 20 minutes away by car and a wonderful Beryl Cook exhibition in the Plymouth Council House. The owners were great, welcoming and helpful. The nearest pub,10 minutes walk away, does very good food. We look forward to returning to Northlands and the area."
