Ottringham is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The small village centre is surrounded by arable farms as well as being home to a general store, a garage, two public houses and a post office. There are a number of activities held in the village throughout the year. Withernsea is a popular seaside town which is the perfect location for a family break with a small sand and pebble beach boasting a grand tower-like entrance.

"The cottage was booked for a nostalgic trip back to the area we all grew up in. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Mary, the owner who lives next door, we all felt at home. The little touches like milk, coffee, tea and cake were much appreciated. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen and elsewhere and has a very homely feel. There is a lovely courtyard area at the rear of the cottage which we made the most of because we were very fortunate with the weather. The location is very handy for visiting Hull, Beverley, York and the seaside towns of Withernsea, Hornsea, Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. For birdwatchers, Spurn Point is a must. All in all, this was a most enjoyable break. Thank you to Mary and Chris for making us feel so welcome."
