River View Cottage is a beautiful 16th century cottage adjoining the owner's home and was once a cider house. The cottage is located one mile from the village of Fownhope, and seven miles from Hereford. This cottage sleeps three people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double bedroom with balcony and one ground floor single. There is a ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed gravelled patio with furniture. River View Cottage is a superb holiday home for a couple or small family, set in an area that has something for everyone. Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.

Electric panel heaters with woodburning stove and underfloor heating on some of the ground floor. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher,WIFI, TV with Freeview, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Enclosed gravelled patio garden with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. River Wye 5 mins walk. Note: There are steps from the parking area to the cottage and steep stairs to the first floor bedroom, making it unsuitable for the less mobile. Note: Due to the steep steps and bedroom balcony children to be supervised at all times.

The village of Fownhope is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, seven miles from Hereford. Nestled on the banks of the River Wye, this village boasts two pubs, a shop, a butcher's, a leisure centre and a popular monthly farmers' market. Wonderful walks are nearby, and the city of Hereford offers an 11th century cathedral and the famous Mappa Mundi world map.
