Overview
This pretty thatched cottage is in the attractive Devon village of Otterton and sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms. Ground Floor: Lounge. Kitchen/Diner. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom with bath, electric hand shower, WC and washbasin. Hanging space is available in Bedroom 2 but a wardrobe is not provided.
Between the stylish Regency town of Sidmouth and the Victorian resort of Budleigh Salterton in one of Devon's most beautiful coastal valleys is the picturesque village of Otterton. Otterton Mill, on the approach to the village is a working water mill, powered by the River Otter, around which has grown up a cafe serving good food, a gallery showing local arts and crafts, and a venue where popular music nights take place. Robin Cottage, at the end of the main street leading through the village is a Grade II listed, thatched property. This sweet cottage has masses of charm, you'll find a wood burning stove in the comfortable lounge and in the smart kitchen/diner a farmhouse style wooden table and chairs. A wooden, spiral staircase leads to the first floor and two attractive bedrooms, a double with views over the garden and a twin bedroom at the front of the cottage. The garden is sheltered, enclosed and mostly laid to lawn with a small patio area, table and chairs. The beach at Ladram Bay is only half a mile away, where pale grey shingle contrasts against the deep, rich, red cliffs and you can join the South Devon Coast Path. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

In the countryside and valleys of East Devon, this village with its thatched cottages is a great spot. Three miles from the Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth, and one mile from the SW Coastal Path on the Jurassic Coast. Ladram Bay is one mile away. Inland, footpaths follow the River Otter where fox, badger and birdlife can be seen, down the road is Bicton Park and Botanical Garden. Visit the flour mill on the River Otter. Dartmoor is under an hour away while Exeter with its shopping centre, cinemas, clubs and restaurants is 10 miles away.
