Known as the capital of the Mullet Peninsula, the coastal town of Belmullet rests between Blacksod and Broadhaven Bays, inlets of the Atlantic Ocean, and represents the entry point to this mystical and unspoilt County Mayo headland. Although classed as a Gaeltach (or Irish-speaking) area, English is universally used.
