High Rising Cottage is a detached stone cottage, on the outskirts of Linton, near Ross-on-Wye and the Forest Of Dean. It sleeps two people in one king-size double bedroom and there is also a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside, you have off road parking for one car and across a quiet road at the front of the cottage there is a patio with furniture. The village of Linton boasts a lovely pub and Ross-on-Wye offers a whole host of amenities. All around the area there are walking, cycling and horse riding opportunities and the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Malvern Hills both make great days out. For a romantic getaway to remember, High Rising Cottage is a great property. Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.

Linton is a pretty village located just six miles from the riverside town of Ross-on-Wye and four miles north of the Royal Forest of Dean. The village offers a good pub, serving home-cooked food and real ale as well as many walking opportunities in all directions, with the Wye Valley Walk and Three Choirs Way passing close by.

"This beautiful and well equipped cottage is in a great location for the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, as well as the cities of Hereford and Gloucester. There is so much to see within an hours drive, and lots of things to do a lot nearer to the cottage too. But what was so marvellous was the way the cottage had been equipped (Sally and Les have thought of EVERYTHING you might need), the friendliness and approachability of Sally and Les, the comfort that has been bestowed on the property, the views and the value for money. We will definitely stay here when we come to the area again and will also recommend it to our friends. The milk and afternoon tea provided was lovely too. Thank you for a fabulous time."
"Wow! A very beautiful and relaxing stay in this lovely cottage. Sally and Les were friendly and very welcoming. The cottage was very well equiped and homely, with stunning views back and front. Thank you for the supply of strawberries and raspberries, which were much appreciated. Ideal for visiting different areas, and only 10 minute walk to the local pub The Alma...bonus! The Alma is amazing! We will back in 2019 for another stay. "
