Woodburning stove with electric convector heater. Warming oven in woodburner, 2-ring hob, fridge, WiFi. Power and fuel for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car 20 yards away. Bike storage. Use of enclosed field surrounding the hut. Sorry, no infants, children, pets or smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles. Note: There are three steep wooden steps up to the hut.

Known as the 'Centre of Britain', the small market town of Haltwhistle is a great place from which to explore both Northumberland and Cumbria. One of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall is only a mile to the north with various museums, forts and milecastles to be seen. This truly is magnificent walking, riding and cycling country, with various bridleways and cycle routes passing rivers, forests, castles and of course, Hadrian's Wall.

"We have just got back from one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever taken. The shepherds hut is in a wonderful location with panoramic views. The hosts gave us a really warm welcome and had left is a surprise of organic bread,local cheese, butter,scones,jam,eggs and wine. The hut is really well designed and equiped with everything we needed to a high standard. Even a telescope to view the amazing stars in this dark sky area. We will be back next year."
"A fabulous base from which to explore the North or just relax and forget the pressures of the modern world. Wake to the sound of curlew & lapwing and look out over the stunning scenery and you could even be lucky enough for a deer to wander into the field. I couldn't be more pleased to have stumbled across the hut when looking at Youth Hostels etc in the area. It's a long way to come from Cornwall and it definitely made a great trip that little bit more special."
