First floor kitchen with dining area. First floor sitting room with woodburner.

There is a family bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen with dining area is on the first floor together with the sitting room with woodburner. To the outside there is off road parking for two cars, a decked veranda and a patio garden with furniture leading via steps to a lawned garden. Barley Cottage is a perfect retreat for those looking to explore the picturesque Eden Valley. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bike storage. Decked veranda with patio garden and furniture leading to lawned garden with fruit and vegetable garden. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 3 mins walk. Note: There are three steps leading from the patio area to the lawned garden and two steps from the veranda to the patio, children to be supervised.

The rural village of Sandford lies in the Eden Valley close to the historic town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. Appleby-in-Westmorland lies in a loop of the River Eden and is overlooked by the Pennine range with the Lake District Fells showing on the western horizon. Set at the heart of the lush Eden Valley and steeped in history, this is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England and was originally the county town of Westmorland. With the delightful Ullswater and the magnificent Lake District within easy reach, this is an ideal holiday location.
