Enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 3 mins walk, pub 7 mins walk. Note: Sorry, no groups of workers without prior authorisation from the owner.

Battle is a quaint town in East Sussex situated inland and about 6 miles from the more vibrant sister, seaside town of Hastings. Both are famous for their involvement with the battle between William the Conqueror and King Harold in 1066. With its cobbled streets and narrow alleys, Battle prides itself on remaining a historic landmark.

"Dit nieuw gerenoveerde vakantiehuis is zeer comfortabel en smaakvol ingericht. Alles is aanwezig in de keuken. Wij en onze 3 jonge kinderen hebben er heerlijk geslapen en genoten van de ruime tuin. De eigenaar was ontzettend gastvrij. Hij wachtte ons op en kocht speciaal voor onze kinderen verschillende speeltjes. Super tof! Het huis heeft een ruime voortuin/parking. Het ligt langs een invalsweg naar Battle (dus wel even opletten dat de kinderen niet de drukke weg oplopen). Het is makkelijk om te voet naar het gezellige centrum van Battle te gaan (3 min.). Daar vind je een supermarkt, winkeltjes, bakker, restaurants, beroemde Abdij, speeltuin, speelvelden, wandelingen,... Battle is ook de ideale uitvalsbasis om de mooie streek te verkennen. Wij genoten volop van onze vakantie in dit mooie huis en leuke streek. Bovendien scheen de zon volop!"

"Stayed at Amelia Cottage for a long weekend with teenager, toddler and baby so a mixed bag! House was well stocked, clean and bright. Husband got BT sport so got to watch his rugby, teenager and a good wifi connection, toddler got a good size garden and a very close park and baby facilities were provided by owner so everyone was happy all round. Great location to walk into Battle in minutes and easily able to get to Hastings, Bexhill and other nearby places we wanted to visit. Owner very friendly, met us personally to show us round and ensure we had everything we needed. Tea, milk and biscuits gratefully received after the journey. Four stars instead of five only for some very minor points - main bed, though comfy needs a much less creaky frame and a couple of garden bits for kids would really top it off. Highly recommended and planning to use again in future. "
