Able to sleep four people, this two bedroom property is adjacent to the owner's farmyard on the edge of the Cotswolds village of Upper Seagry. All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin. Bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric woodburner-effect fire.
This detached, single-storey barn conversion is located on the owner's organic farm, on the edge of Upper Seagry. Set in the lush countryside of North Wiltshire and only six miles from the ancient town of Malmesbury, this property boasts character features such as high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and staddle stones set into the wall. The cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout to provide spacious, comfortable living accommodation including a king-size master bedroom with en suite facilities and a Jacuzzi bath. Oxen Cottage makes an excellent base at any time of year. Wiltshire is a county offering cultural richness, historical sites, friendly people and attractions for all the family. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Raised patio with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Note: The property is on a working beef cattle farm and cattle are nearby. Note: The owner has one dog. Note: There is an access ramp available at this cottage. Note: There are two steps down to the front door.

Situated in beautiful countryside only five miles north of Chippenham and six miles from Malmesbury, the village of Upper Seagry is set in the south of the Cotswolds. This rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area and visitors can enjoy ample footpaths and bridleways, or alternatively, take a trip to Malmesbury boasting a 12th Century Benedictine Abbey. The Cotswold Water Park offers a great day out, whilst Westobirt Arboretum - with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs - is not to be missed. The picturesque village of Castle Combe is within easy driving distance and is well known for its car racing track whilst the quaint National Trust village of Lacock is also close by and was used as the setting for the BBC TV serial, 'Cranford'. The impressive Roman city of Bath, Bowood House, and the ancient stone circle at Avebury are all within an hour's drive and are well worth visiting.
