Enclosed, sloping lawned garden with furniture and BBQ with bench at front of property. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1.5 miles. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms, care to be taken.

This lovely village lies in the heart of rural Northumberland, between the coast and the Cheviots. Longframlington offers fabulous access to a range of outdoor activities and other attractions just waiting to be discovered. Within only a 10-minute drive of the village is the National Trust property of Cragside House and Gardens, whilst 15 minutes to the east is the beautiful Heritage Coast with its spectacular sandy beaches and unspoiled shoreline. In a lovely setting beside the River Coquet is Brinkburn Priory, a restored Augustinian priory. The glorious National Park is also within easy reach. Longframlington has an award-winning butchers and village shop and a friendly pub that serves good food and ales. The village also has gardens ofover 12 acres with arboretum walks to be enjoyed.

"Tawny Nook was a wonderful base for a long weekend exploring the Northumbrland coast. The cottage was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very cosy with the woodburning stove when it started snowing outside. We had everything we needed, with a breakfast basket and Sunday papers included, Derek (the owner) who lives next door in the farmhouse, was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely somewhere that we would go back to."
