The Smithy is a characterful, Grade II listed Black and White cottage situated in the village of Lucton, one mile from Mortimers Cross and close to Yarpole in Herefordshire. The lovely property sleeps two people in one double bedroom and on the ground floor you will find a bathroom, kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with a warming woodburning stove. Outside there is a patio with furniture, as well as off road parking for two cars and lockable bike storage. This splendid property is pet-friendly and is situated in a beautiful area of the Herefordshire countryside, just three miles from the ancient village of Yarpole which boasts a selection of shops and a great pub called The Bell Inn, boasting a roaring fire and serving great food and local ales. Also well-placed for both cycling and walking, The Smithy is the ideal base for a romantic retreat in the countryside. Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
