The pleasant village of Shobdon lies between the historic market towns of Leominster and Presteigne, surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside and close to the Welsh borderlands. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Shobdon has a village shop, an excellent pub/restaurant and even a private airfield, providing a rare opportunity to learn how to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. A great base for a holiday exploring Herefordshire!

"A well equipped cottage in a peaceful rural setting, the ideal place to spend a holiday. Everything you would need, good internet and TVs coverage. We found it good for day trips out to the numerous local attractions. Especially liked the fairy cakes the owner left for us Aussies. The Bateman Arms in nearby Shobden village does an exceptionall good Sunday roast. Would highly recommend this property."

"Lovely well equipped cottage! Excellent location. My only issue was that the upstairs bedrooms had clearly not been cleaned properly for a while. An unacceptable amount of cobwebs (and spiders) were in the beams and corners of the rooms. The bedrooms clearly hadn't been fully cleaned properly for some time. We arrived late and had to hoover them up for the benefit of my wife/daughter. Whilst I appreciate that it is an old cottage in the countryside I would expect it to be reasonable to run the hoover around the beams/corners of the rooms once in a while. This really let down what is otherwise a charming cottage."
