This cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double and a twin as well as a separate bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with open fire. To the outside is off road parking for one car and a patio with furniture. Set in a stunning location, Barnstead is a great place to enjoy at any time of the year. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Oil central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freesat, DVD. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc in rent. Bed linen and towels inc in rent. highchair available on request. Off road parking for 1 car. Patio with furniture. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 min walk. Two well stocked villages stores and Post Office, selling papers/magazines, fresh meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, great range of groceries, beers/wines/spirits/soft drinks, toiletries etc! Note: There are steps leading up to the front door . Note: Can enter the property via the back door which only has one step

The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed.

"Set in a fabulous location with every amenity on your doorstep including 3 delightful pubs, an excellent riverside cafe and two grocery stores one of which sells 268 types of gin this had to be good. But it wasn't, it was excellent in every way. Very comfortably furnished, pet friendly and finished to a very high standard this spacious dwelling will not disappoint. Our only regret was not staying here longer and we left with heavy hearts. Some great walks right on your doorstep we only used the car to visit Penrith for our main shop and then parked it up. Ullswater Steamers is within easy walking distance and Aira Force waterfall is just a short drive. I give this property 10/10"
