"Fell in love with this cottage just looking at the photos when I booked it. I hoped it would live up to my expectations. On entering the property, with my partner, our daughter's age 7&9, and our dog, we were all amazed and lost for words! It was beautiful! Far more to offer inside than we had imagined. Lovely nautical theme running through and a good mixture of old and new interior features and furnishings. This property changes with the weather. On sunny days, it feels spacious and bright. The light pours through the large windows. In dull days, it feels snug and cosy in its dim light, especially with the fire lit. More than adequately kitted out kitchen. Inside, the living areas were nice and clean. This is a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding areas. We look forward to booking again. A couple of things for owner to address or consider though. None of these are written as a negative, just as areas that could improve someone's stay. As a dog owner, it would be nice, if possible, to have a small gate at the rear of the property. This would allow the door to outside to be open without worrying about the dog escaping. (We did make use of the fire guard as a tempory barrier!) My 9 year old scalded her back quite badly in the shower when the kitchen tap was turned on. ( warning for other guests) I had to remove one of the bed protectors in daughters room due to an unsightly stain on it. Lastly, a quick hoover under/behind beds needed. Despite this, and the lack of parking, (had to carry all our bits down the hill, but we were aware of this on booking) we had the most amazing stay! Thank you."
