Hosting a king-size bedroom and a family bathroom, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find a kitchen and an open plan sitting and dining area with a wood burner. To the outside is off road parking and a gravelled garden to the rear with patio and furniture. Resting in a desirable location and close to scenic attractions, Faraway Cottage is a fabulous retreat in a beautiful part of England. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WIFI, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Lockable bike storage. Off road parking for 1 car. Gravelled garden to the rear with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 7 miles and pub 3 miles. Note: There are no formal pathways in the woodland so guests are free to roam and explore, however the walk to the river is downhill and can be very wet at times so wellies are highly recommended.

Longtown is a town in Cumbria that runs alongside the River Esk. It is a base for a holiday as it comes in the centre of four different Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town itself offers shops, pubs and restaurants. There is some beautiful places nearby, offering more places to go and things to do. Brampton and Carlisle are nearby with beautiful buildings. As Longtown comes so close to Scotland, it would be rude not to visit, with the stunning town of Dumfries within easy driving distance.

"Had such a lovely time here from being a townie to coming into the country for some peace and quiet. Feeding the calfs is just 1 of the amazing benefits of this place, it's beautiful, quiet and in the not too far from Scotland and the Lake District. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone just wanting that time away for something different. You have the option of relating in front of the fire with a glass if bubbly or heading to the district for some water sports and different forms of activities. The owners are lovely very welcoming and happy to talk to you and help in anyway with your stay. We wish them all the best with their new business venture and hoping to visit again soon."
"Well what can I say this cottage is amazing, so relaxing and a perfect location to get away from it all!! The cottage is surrounded by amazing countryside in a fabulous location with breathtaking views down by the river. Its a great base to explore places such as Keswick, Grasmere and surrounding villages. Tony & Julie are fabulous hosts and very accommodating. . . Nothing is too much trouble, genuinely nice people! The cottage is restful and wonderfully decorated to a high standard with all the mod cons that you could want. Can't wait to come back!!"
"Well, what can I say about this property but Wow! The owners Tony and Julie are very welcoming hosts who make you feel very at home as soon as you arrive. The addition of a bottle of prosecco and a cake on arrival is a lovely touch! One of the highlights of our trip was being able to feed the calves. This property is in a brilliant location with easy access to Hadrian's wall, Kielder forest, Carlisle and Hexham. In addition to this is the woodland that surrounds the farm makes for a lovely place to explore with access to the nearby river. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the country."
