9 Oaklands Terrace is a lovely terraced cottage situated in the village of Kessingland just six miles from Lowestoft in Suffolk. The cottage can sleep four people and has one king-size double bedroom and one twin as well as a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen and sitting room with dining area and woodburner. Outside is roadside parking outside cottage and a private enclosed back garden with furniture. 9 Oaklands Terrace is a delightful cottage and an ideal base from which to explore this lovely part of the country. Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways - East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

Gas central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, WiFi, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent, please bring own beach towels. Highchair. Roadside parking outside cottage. Front garden and private enclosed back garden (the other side of vehicular right of way) with furniture. Sorry no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk. One well-behaved dog welcome.

The quiet Suffolk coastal village of Kessingland is nestled between Southwold and Lowestoft, on the 'Sunrise Coast' a region of Suffolk enjoying 27 miles of award-winning beaches and part of the Suffolk Heritage Coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering unspoilt beaches, beautiful heath lands and nature reserves at Benacre and RSPB Minsmere, along with pretty southern Broadland market towns. Kessingland enjoys good beach fishing and local amenities include several pubs, restaurants, shops, a tea room, children's park and the award-winning attraction Africa Alive.

"This property was not as advertised/described, details as follows:- 1) As soon as we opened the front door there was an overpowering musty smell. It had obviously been unused for a length of time e.g. vase full of dead flowers in stagnant water, and congealed gravy in a dish in the fridge. The same smell was also inside all of the kitchen cupboards where crockery was stored, and this had to be washed thoroughly before use. 2) the downstairs rooms were dark and dingy and full of clutter. 3) Unable to sleep in master bedroom due to traffic noise. 4) dogs continually barking and howling in adjoining properties. 5) 'Help' documentation was non existent i.e. bins and collection dates/ places to visit. 6) Garden was NOT enclosed - had to block with wheelie bins to stop dog escaping. 7) Could not attain Wi-Fi. Tried to use code on router without success. 8) advertised as 5 minutes walk to beach and 5 minutes to pub. More like 1 hours walk to beach and 30 minutes walk to pub. 9) We cannot believe that there have not been any previous negative comments about this property. We were very disappointed with this booking as we were looking forward to a relaxing holiday near the beach, which we had saved hard for, for over a year. Not up to the standard expected with Sykes cottages."
