"On arrival the car park space only fits a small car, not safe to park on the road as the property is on a bend on a narrow road, it has no street lighting with buses passing during the day. Entrance to the property is tired and needs a good clean, the downstairs toilet is not supplied with a hand towel. The lounge is a good size but the throws could do with changing. Didn't use the downstairs bedroom so cannot comment. The kitchen is well equipment but is lacking on baking trays. Upstairs, firstly you will be joined with wood lice everyday when returning to the property. The bedroom mattresses all need replacing especially the two singles as you can feel the springs. The top of the ensuite tap falls off every time you use it be careful is doesn't chip the sink as no doubt you will be charged for the damage. Both toilet roll holders are screwed on wonky, nice touch. The garden table was so dirty this clearly had not been cleaned for months, the garden is small and is enclosed by walls so not a garden to relax in, I would only imagine you would use this to smoke. Over the back of the garden there is building work, this doesn't cause any noise at night but the view from the bedroom window isn't good. For the price the owners is charging the property needs reviewing."

"Loved the location of this charming cottage in a small, very friendly village. On arrival we found that we couldn't fit two large cars on the off street parking but the charming man who lived opposite invited us to use his drive, which was absolutely fantastic. He then invited us to join him and some locals at the pub as we had arrived in time for their 'First Saturday' meet up, again, that was super as we found out a bit about the local area and where to go for lazy walks across country. This beautiful cottage is full of charactor, with a lovely welcome pack awaiting us. There is very little you would need and not find in the well equiped kitchen which is laid out as a lovely bright and airy social area. The lounge is huge and comfortable with throws ao the back of the settees for if there is a nip in the air but not enough to warrent a fire being put on and has a variety of books for visitors to read and enjoy. We only used the two main upstairs bedrooms which were nicely furnished. The only negative for us would be the comfort of the mattresses in the superking bedroom. Great on size but the mattresses were a little on the light side, where the master bedroom comfort was absolutely assured. Our only othere negative was that though there were enough towels, and they were certainly large enough for the most cuddlesom people around and so very, very soft and fluffy, there wasn't a towel in the downstairs toilet, which would have been nice. To the back of the cottage is a nice smallish yard which is totally private and large enough for six to sit around the garden table. My husband and I sat there for parts of each day and evening, but the favourite place for mum and me to sit during the sunny afternoons was outside the front door, where virtually everyone who passed, whether driving, cyclingor walking, either waved or stopped for a chat. Would we go back again? Absolutely we would, 100% charmed by the cottage and the folk in the village."

"The old school in West Knighton, Dorset is a wonderful old cottage, comfortable, with lots of character and central in the village. The village itself is lovely olde world and very friendly, with a great pub a very short stroll away. It is also set in a location that is very convenient for visiting local attractions, with a bus service on the doorstep (literally) should one wish to try travelling that way. We did and found it made a pleasant change to driving the car. Thank you very much to the lady looking after the old school for trying so hard to find the missing diary."
