Overview
A luxurious, detached cottage with private hot tub situated close to the small village of Backbarrow, sleeping six people in three bedrooms. Three ground floor bedrooms with Smart TV: 2 x super-king size double with en-suite monsoon shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with 60'' Smart TV and woodburning stove.
Neddy Cut is a luxurious, detached cottage with private hot tub in the Lake District National Park, just 1.5 miles from the small village of Backbarrow and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. There are two super king-size double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, all situated on the ground floor. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, a private patio with furniture and barbecue, shared use of the extensive lawn and grounds and also a private hot tub. Neddy Cut is a great base for your well-earned break. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Backbarrow is a small Lakeland village close to the southern end of famous Lake Windermere. The village is set on the banks of the River Leven, and offers riverside strolls plus a shop and pub. The attractions of the Lake District are close at hand here, including the chance to discover the World of Beatrix Potter, visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, walk the magnificent fells or while away the days in one of the many attractive villages such as Ambleside or Hawkshead.

"We have stayed at Neddy Cut twice already this year and have provisionally booked again for next year. On both occasions that we have stayed so far, we loved everything about the property and the location. The owners Kath and John could not be more friendly, helpful and welcoming. Before our first stay Kath sent us a superb list of everthing that we needed to know about the area - local pubs, restaurants, shops, places to visit etc. etc. When we arrived Kath was there to greet us and explain where everything was. The property itself is everything that we could wish for from a rental property for 6 people - spotlessly clean, well maintained, 3 en suite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, log burning fire and a fantastic hot tub. The hot tub is really warm and does not go cold even if you stay in it for quite a while, which was a real bonus for us. It is immaculately kept and Kath and John check it every day to ensure that it stays pristine. The location is also excellent - a fairly easy 3 mile walk to Cartmel - the nearest village which has lovely shops and restaurants. However, the cottage itself is so nice you could easily stay here for a weekend and not go anywhere. It is very close to a lake with lovely views so you can go for a short walk for a few hundred yards if you just want to chill most of the time but stretch your legs. I can highly recommend Neddy Cut in every respect."
"We stayed for a week with kids (Grown up) and partners. It was excellent! Superb accomodation, lovely loction especially if you enjoy walking in beautiful countryside and all from your front door. The hot tub was a particular highlight, in fact we used it every night! The owner Kath was really friendly and helpful without being in your face at all - just the right balance. Cartmel is only 3 miles drive and we had a meal in the Cavendish Arms, again I would recommend. Very good pub food. We will be going back to Neddy Cut."
"Amazing cottage. Luxurious, decorated, furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Log burner added to the cosy feeling for the evenings in. Lovely owners, friendly and helpful. Lovely welcome groceries for our arrival. Hot tub was fab! On all the time. Our parents visited & we're all really impressed. Three ensuite rooms was a bonus. The cottage is in a great location, and only a few miles from Cartmel, and about an hour away from Keswick. I will go back & recommed this holiday! Loved it."
