Meadowside is a detached character cottage in the hamlet of Burlwan near Wadebridge. The cottage sleeps six and has a super king-size double with en-suite, a double and a twin, along with a shower room, ground floor cloakroom, kitchen, dining room and sitting room with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden with furniture and summer house. Meadowside makes an ideal base for a family, couple or friends to explore this part of Cornwall, with its beaches, towns, walks and attractions. Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric AGA, halogen hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in utility, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Fuel for stove available to purchase locally. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Lawned garden with patio, furniture and summerhouse. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: Steep narrow cottage stairs, not suitable for people with limited mobility. Please note the shower in the family bathroom is small, but adequate.

Perfectly placed alongside the ebb and flow of the River Camel, the bustling market town of Wadebridge is an ideal location for exploring the natural beauty of North Cornwall. With an array of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, all offering a personal and friendly service, this lovely little town is host to North Cornwall's only cinema. Surrounding the village is a network of local footpaths, amazing gardens and stately homes, all ready to explore. Passing through the town and providing 17 miles of traffic free walking, horse riding and cycling opportunities is the Camel Trail which follows the course of the river. The famed Cornish coast is within five miles and boasts a huge selection of long, sandy beaches, rocky coves and towering cliffs.

"The cottage itself is pleasant enough. Unfortunately there is very little maintenance on this property, leading to a feeling of continuing neglect. There's a strong smell of diesel throughout the property. Neither Sykes or the Housekeeper were interested in resolving this issue. The central heating was not working due to batteries in the control panel being dead. Housekeeper reluctantly changed these. From what we could see neither the fire alarm or carbon monoxide alarms were working. Coupled with the diesel problem, this was extremely worrying. Again, Sykes were informed via email, but have chosen to leave as is. Light bulbs not working, diluted washing up liquid, the list is long. In short, I've informed Sykes that we will not be booking with them again. My advice, stay away from Sykes and this cottage."
