Overview
This excellent cottage, one of three on-site, set two miles from Staithes, sleeps eight people in four en-suite bedrooms. Four bedrooms: 1 x ground floor double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double with en-suite shower, basin and WC (with Jack-and-Jill access to twin with en-suite shower), 1 x twin with en-suite shower, basin and WC (with Jack-and-Jill to double), 1 x twin with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric stove.
The Barn is a wonderful holiday home, set two miles from Staithes in attractive Yorkshire countryside. With four en-suite bedrooms across the ground and first floors, it can sleep up to eight people. There's also an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire. Outside, there is an elevated lawned garden with patio and furniture, accessed via eight steps up. There's also off road parking for up to three cars. Set in lovely countryside, The Barn has been beautifully finished to provide friends and family with an excellent holiday base. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Facilities & Amenities
Oil central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 3 cars. Bike storage. Elevated lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ (8 steps up). Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile. Beach 2 miles. Note: This cottage is close to a main road, children to be supervised and some traffic noise may be heard.

"We had a lovely 3 days in The Barn, and it was exactly what we wanted. The owner welcomed us on the first day and very kindly let us into the accommodation early. It was clean and comfortable, with all that we needed in terms of facilities. There is a bus stop virtually right outside the door, providing an excellent service up and down the coast. This is great for walking and getting the bus back, as there is also a footpath at the back leading up to the Cleveland Way. Would definitely recommend this for a family holiday."
"We went for a week from 28th April. A lovely place consisting of a four and two three bed cottages linked. We stayed in the four bed, It was superb. Open plan downstairs one bedroom downstairs and three upstairs all en-suite. Plenty of space for the 8 of us nice and cosy. All our needs were catered for. Lovely view from the front with staithes, saltburn, Scarborough all nearby. Would definately go again."
"Visited with children and grand children Superb welcome from the owners down to coffee biscuits and a school size bottle of milk in the fridge. Good accommodation, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area, books and games and toys for the little ones. Despite telling Sykes we needed a cot, the owners apparently were unaware, but no trouble one appeared like magic, thank you. Lovely area out back with tree house and swings, unfortunately not warm enough to sit out and barbecue but all the facilities were provided. A great base for exploring a lovely part of the country, North Yorks Railway was a great day out with Whitby, Saltburn and Robin Hoods Bay within easy distance"
"Just spent 4 nights at The Barn and next door in Valley View with our family and friends. This accomodation has been beautifully restored with the interior designs tastefully done. It is very clean and modern with all the pots and pans you can imagine. A lot of thought has gone into this property and it shows. All bedrooms have en suites with comfortable beds. It gives you the wow factor when you walk in. We were all more then satisfied and would have no hesitation in returning. Renting the 3 cottages would give you accomodation for about 14? There are only 2 negatives. You are next to a main road so if that bothers you, could be an issue and second you get a lot of flies in the property due to a dairy farm being directly behind. This did become a pain but ended up buying fly spray. Being prepared for this can give you a wonderful break in a beautiful cottage"
