The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Situated at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby is an ancient fishing port steeped in history. The ruin of St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff and looks down on narrow streets and alleyways. From the old town, the parish church of St Mary, also on East Cliff, has 199 steps leading to it and the churchyard was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other attractions in Whitby include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and The Dracula Experience. There are year-round events at Whitby Pavilion Complex and there is a blue flag beach and spectacular cliffs and bays to explore. Whitby is in a beautiful region and offers visitors a great deal of variety for a memorable holiday any time of year.

"This apartment is of high standard great views from bay window and as other reviews state parking is hard to find but we managed to find a space every day float to apartment .The apartment is well equipped and so clean and tidy huge bedroom and big living area ,Really nice bathroom to very bright and airy .Would highly recommend this apartment and so close to town too only a couple of mins walk .I had a few fishing trips off pier too and caught a few decent mackerel which I left a few fillets for owners in freezer .I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Whitby. "
"This our 2nd stay at river view and as before couldn't have asked for more ideal location lovely view and fab appartment we tend to only cook breakfast when holidaying but if you were inclined to prepare breakfast lunch and dinner you have all you need , parking is always an issue in Whitby but we found if we timed our trips properly and came back after 5 we always got parked just along the road but if you come back before that you'll have a problem . "
