Croft Cottage is a detached stone cottage in Pickering, North Yorkshire. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin. There is also a family bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area and sitting room with a gas fire. Outside there is an enclosed lawned and gravelled garden with decking, furniture and BBQ, as well as an external basin and WC and a snug with a bar and a dartboard. With lovely shops, quaint tea rooms, excellent pubs and restaurants, trout fishing, and a castle, the town of Pickering has something to satisfy every taste. With all this and more on your doorstep, Croft Cottage is an ideal base for a family holiday at any time of year. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secludeddales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Enclosed lawned and gravelled garden with decked area, furniture, outdoor lighting and disposable BBQ's available on request with owner direct. External heated snug with bar. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: Drinks for bar are provided on an honesty box basis. Please replace any drinks that you consume.

The market town of Pickering serves as the official gateway to the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Visitors can enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway whilst fans of the Harry Potter films will recognise some of the locations used in the Philosopher's Stone! The Beck Isle Museum is within easy reach and is well worth visiting for its unique collection of black and white photography and displays of rural life. The rolling hills, valleys, rivers and abundant wildlife of the North York Moors make them a wonderful place for walking and cycling, whilst the city of York and the Heritage Coast are just half an hour's drive away.

"This cottage is a perfect base to travel around to Whitby, Scarborough, York and many more places. Nice walks from the door through the woods to nearby places. Everything you could possibly need was in the cottage however the dishwasher does not wash dishes clean. The kitchen needs better lighting in kitchen as was very dark so too was the double bedroom. The garden was enclosed which it needed to be for our dog to be secure however the access is via a small side gate which anyone can access - this is worrying if dog was in garden when someone opened the gate as our dog could and would, escape. In all an enjoyable week spent here."
