Bellafax Cottage is a detached cottage on the owner's working arable farm just three miles south of Pickering in North Yorkshire. the cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, a twin room and a family bathroom. On the ground floor is a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside is off road parking and an enclosed walled garden with outdoor furniture. With the whole of the North York Moors to discover as well as being close to the coast, Bellafax Cottage is a lovely family holiday home at any time of the year. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The beautiful market town of Pickering is located on the North Yorkshire Moors National Park border. According to town legend, it was founded by Peredurus, a king who ruled during 270 BC. Pickering is filled with flowing streams and limestone hills, creating a spectacular and dramatic backdrop. For evenings out, the town has plenty of theatres, leisure centres and live music; an annual Jazz Festival is held during the month of July.

"We booked the cottage for Christmas. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were show around the cottage with everything explained to us. The cottage was warm and cosy with plenty of logs and coal for the open fire. The rooms were very comfortable and the location very peaceful. The owners had provided decorations and a Christmas tree prior to our arrival, which was a lovely touch, along with a welcome pack."

"We have just returned from our 9th holiday at this cottage - our perfect holiday location. Bellafax and its owners offer a warm welcome, and there are views of green fields from every window - this time with the added bonus of new lambs. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped and ideally located for the North York Moors, with the steam-train to Whitby, and excellent bus-service from Malton to York, or Whitby, and the beautiful Dalby Forest within a few miles. There are many attractive villages in the area, as well as Castle Howard, Yorkshire Lavender and more than enough to fill a week's holiday or more. We can highly recommend Bellafax, and will be back next year."
