The cottage sleeps eight people in four bedrooms which are three king-size doubles and a twin room. There is also a shower room and a ground floor bathroom. Completing the accommodation is a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for four cars and an enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Upper Peaks Barn is a wonderful base for exploring exceptional areas of the country including the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and beyond!

The traditional West Riding village of Slaithwaite is set in the Colne Valley in the South Pennines, just six miles from the picturesque market town of Holmfirth. Full of history, the village retains several buildings from the mid 15th century, including Slaithwaite Hall, one of the few surviving cruck frame structures in Yorkshire. The viaduct dominates the skyline and is an awe-inspiring sight, whilst the village centre is very pretty with the restored Huddersfield Canal winding through and a lovely selection of independent shops, self-brewing pubs and eateries, where you can sample local fare.
