The attractive, unspoilt rural village of Maulds Meaburn is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. It is a quiet picturesque village in Cumbria not far from the Eden Valley and about six miles from Appleby-in-Westmorland.Nearby Appleby sits at the heart of the lush Eden Valley, and is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England and was originally the county town of Westmorland.

"I could be very picky like someone of 3 in a bed show, there are some bits of skirting that isn't prefect and alike, but that would be doing a huge injustice to a stunning place to stay. The converted barn is on the outskirts of a beautiful tiny village of Maulds Meaburn and is stunning looking from the outside. This doesn't change when you step inside, te huge entrance way is impressive. Huge open planned kitchen/living room with outstanding views across the valley. Bedrooms are brilliantly done with en-suits, the whole place has great little features, great little windows in main bedroom, log burner in living room, all add up to a cracking stay. We have seen a whole load of birds from the dinning table, Buzzard, Heron, Woodpecker, Sparrow Hawk, Thrust to name a few. Its a short hop to Appleby-in-westmorland a very interesting town. Kendal, the lakes, the Yorkshire Dales and north Pennines are all close by. We have visited four national trust places while here, including Beatrix Potter's house so there is a lot to see and do around the area. Amazing place, in a beautiful location, no reason not to stay here."
