The Granary is a stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion situated on the owners' former farmstead in the hamlet of Ellingstring, five miles from Masham. This cottage sleeps two people in one ground floor super king-size double bedroom and a ground floor shower room. On the first floor is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a shared front courtyard with furniture leading to three acres of farmland. The Granary is an ideal base for exploring this wonderful part of Yorkshire. From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Oil fired central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD, wifi available at owner's guesthouse 3 doors away. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 car. Front patio with furniture. One well-behaved small/medium sized dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Note: Current Check-in time is 5PM and check-out time is 9AM.

The historic market town of Masham is situated in Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. The town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market. The town boasts galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known as the home of two breweries Theakstons of Old Peculier fame and the Black Sheep Brewery.

"I stayed at The Granary with my partner for 5 days and we had a fabulous time - if you have a dog, love the countryside and value a stunning setting over perfect paintwork, 4G and WiFi, then you have GOT to stay here! It's a 10 min drive to the excellent pubs of Masham and a 20 min drive into some truly breathtaking scenery in the heart of Nidderdale. The owners were very welcoming indeed and even baked us a yummy cake. Our dog loved every minute, with some of the farm free to walk around and a network of footpaths over the moors to explore. Awesome."
"A very cosey upsidedown property on the owners home stead .I was given a very warm wellcome by the owner Claire. .The granary has everything you need A Lovely super king size bed Living room kitchen was very comfortable.A home made cream cake made by the owner was a lovely surprise The resident ducks are very friendly and come for tit bits when they see you I would highly recommend this property if you want a quiet restfull break its dog friendly.The market village of Masham is about five miles away with some lovely shops and a market twice a week.Ihope to return again this year"
