"We have just returned from a 2 week stay here and can honestly say it has to be the most relaxing, peaceful getaway we have had in all our years holidaying. We wanted somewhere secluded, quirky, with a garden, plenty of space, WiFi (important for the teenagers!), that dogs were allowed but also close enough to Aberystwyth to visit family, which we got and more! The welcome gifts are a lovely extra touch and any niggles were sorted out straight away (the freeview box stopped working). We had no problems or issues and were made to feel comfortable should we need to make contact. We miss sitting on the swing in the evening with the only sounds being the sheep in the distance and the water from the stream. Thankyou for such wonderful memories."

"We are a party of six with a small baby. The cottage exceeded our expectations. A lovely welcome pack awaited us from locally sourced produce (including a bottle of bubbly) which certainly made us feel instantly at home. The property was immaculately prepared, clean, warm and beautifully finished. Large, efficient wood-burning stoves and a very effective central heating system kept out the cold. The location is beautiful with plenty of walks near-by it even has it's own river running through the garden, a nature lover's paradise. We have stayed in countless rental properties around the country and this is one of the best we've used. Highly recommended"

"This house is set amongst hills in a beautiful, isolated spot, with a brook running past the door. All you can hear is birdsong and water. Lots of lovely walks, and paradise for dogs. The house is 250 years old and is gorgeous inside. Bedrooms cosy, bathrooms great, downstairs homely and comfy, with log burners and 3 ft thick walls ! The owners, Jim and Ann, have made a lovely job of it. We were greeted on arrival by flowers, wine, scones and cake (Bara brith ?), This made our arrival extra special. There are lots of lovely beaches not far away, and Devils Bridge is a spectacular spot to visit. Sarah, who looks after the house, was very helpful with directions and information, of which there is lots in the house. We will be going there again, but maybe a little earlier in the summer, as the weather wasnt the best !"

"This really is a magnificent cottage in grounds that I am sure could not be beaten for a family group. The cottage is superbly equipped to a high standard and we felt at home as soon as we arrived . The welcome pack included home made scones and cake, wine, chutney , honey ,eggs, milk and there was tea coffee and other stock items in the cupboard, there was also a welcome pack for our Yorkshire Terrier. The garden is amazing with a stream running through it a bridge several seating areas and much to the pleasure of our 4 grandchildren a rope swing that they could all fit on, there are features everywhere you look. We had several BBQs in the idyllic location. There are beautiful walks just by going out the back door, no noise no neighbours no light pollution sheer heaven. Had several enjoyable chats to Jim the owner as he tended his farm a real interesting character who really makes you feel at home. The week was over far too quickly for us all, 2 grandparents son and daughter in law and 4 grandchildren. On arrival home I received a e mail from Sarah when she was getting the cottage ready for the lucky next occupants she had found two electronic items, a coffee machine and a power bank, that we had left behind, she talked me through the return process and within days Hermes delivered them to me, she could not have been kinder. The whole experience from arrival to receiving my left items was first class, I cannot praise them enough. I have stayed in several cottages and this was by far the best a real credit to the owners"

"A lovely cottage in a very quiet location with plenty of outdoor space. The cottage has a good sized kitchen/dining room for large groups, and is very comfortable. Lots of exposed beams, so mind your head. The coast and Aberystwyth are about 15 minutes away, and we found plenty to do in the surrounding area in the week we were there. I would thoroughly recommend it."

"We stayed here for a week at Easter, we had an amazing week. The house is lovely, the hosts had left out Easter eggs for the grandchildren, and scones and wine for us, much appreciated. The house was great for all of us, plenty of room, lovely scenery, and the games room kept the children occupied for ages. Would love to come back again, would highly recommend this house for a family holiday."

"Easter break for our family which included adults, children and dogs. Great out door space to explore and have an Easter egg hunt. Outdoor games were provided plus an entertainment shed. The location was tranquil apart from the sounds of the rippling stream and the sheep in the distance. The cottage was comfortable, with log fires and many original features. Overall, it is a great place to stay."

"What a beautiful part of Wales - no need to get the car out - just put boots on and walk from the farm - plenty of marked routes just outside the farmhouse. Very isolated really - be great to get stuck in the snow here - very cosy with plenty of wood available for wood burners . Kitchen facilities excellent - nothing needed ."

"After looking for a cottage with some character, I came across this property. What a find that was. This grade 2 listed cottage set in outstanding countryside is wonderful. It has been refurbished to a very high standard complementing the history of the building with original features but with some modern twists such as the kitchen which has everything you require. We arrived to a welcoming tray of home made scones, and a bottle of wine. Our dog Millie also had a welcoming box with a bag of treats! The cottage has been in the owners family for many generations with some delightful pictures of the property as it was many years ago. Although there were 6 adults and 1 dog in our group, this cottage sleeps 8 with 1 king sized room with en suite comprising of a bath and loo, 1 double room and 2 rooms with twin beds. A family bathroom with bath/shower. Downstairs at the entrance is a tiled boot room which has a washing/tumble dryer, fridge (for beers) and a freezer. It also has a toilet and shower, ideal for dirty dogs from an enjoyable walk! Entering the kitchen you will find a wonderful snug wood burner fireplace. The kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, an electric oven and hob and it is fully equipped with every kitchen aid you wish to need. It has a table which seats 8. The hallway leading to the stairs has many books and games for your enjoyment. The lounge has another wood burner and is furnished lovely. Also some more games and books for your leisure. The garden is beautiful, on a hill with a stunning stream going through. Many levels of seating areas including a wooden swing. A games room with many garden games inside, also has a table football and a darts board. We visited the Devils bridge waterfalls and the 3 bridges which were wonderful which also included a fitness workout due to the many steps to get there. Worth it though! This is only 25 mins by car. A stream train ends up here from Aberystwyth which we also went on. Great viewing. We visited many beaches along the Cardigan area which were stunning and only around an hours drive. With so many places on the doorstep of the cottage to visit and the stunning cottage itself, you will have a great holiday here, so much so, we are planing a second holiday here, to which we have never wanted to do before. It was great meeting Jim, (the owner) and his trusty dogs who gave us a warm welcome. You should be proud of such a wonderful place you have here. Wifi is very intermittent so I had to talk with the family but that was ok!"

"What a beautiful cottage! We stayed in the cottage for a week at the start of August for a family holiday and had a wonderful time! When we arrived we had been left a welcome gift of home made scones and cakes (both of which were delicious) and tea and coffee which was amazing after the long drive there. The grounds were STUNNING, what a beautiful area and it was lovely watching the local Red Kites flying around in the evening. Inside the cottage it was clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The owner Jim was also very friendly and we would certainly reccommend a stay in this beautiful cottage!"

"This is an amazing property in a breath-taking area of Wales, and set in its own beautiful grounds. There is a delightful stream with bridge over (two otters spotted on their way up stream), a bench swing, picnic tables, patio sets and a games room - not to mention the numerous red kites soaring above. The farm-house itself is immaculate and atmospheric, being equipped, furnished and maintained to the highest standards. Books, dvds, and games were provided, and we were welcomed with home-made cake, scones and a bottle of wine. Such pretty window boxes and potted plants were placed all around the outside - just one of many small details provided to make the environment even more beautiful and welcoming. We were indeed made to feel so welcome and cared for, and it was lovely to chat with Jim and the other lovely lady we met as we were leaving. Thank you all for the most amazing holiday. Oh - and the weather was glorious all week, not a cloud in the sky most days. Well done Wales! This property is a perfect base to tour the stunning area, the Cardigan coast and to discover Aberystwyth's many shops. ( However, take plenty of provisions in case you just don't want to leave the premises!) A car is essential, and care should be taken with the beams! I can highly recommend this delightful property - it's an absolute gem!"

"We chose this place because we have dogs and I am SO glad that we do or we probably would not have stumbled across it. The setting is divine and the cottage itself has been well renovated and is well equipped. We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time outdoors. The walking from the cottage is great with so much else within a short drive. The only small negative is that we did not find many good pubs and it is a bit of a way to the shops. Also, we have one dog that likes to wander and we could not enclose him easily. But these things are so minor, this is a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back soon. "

"We have just spent Christmas in this beautiful house with our youngest daughter and her three children. Having read through the visitors book on arrival I thought that prospective visitors should know about this place before they arrive! Or maybe I will just keep it a secret!!!!! Seriously this place is perfect and the owners had made such an effort knowing children would be staying that we can't thank them enough! There was a Christmas tree outside with lights as well as one inside.Stockings were hanging over the fireplace and many more little Christmas touches made it magical for the children. Our dog was provided with everything he needed too! It was lovely to arrive and find everything needed for a cup of tea as well! It was very unusual to find all the basics already provided and I needn't have taken all the things I did including dishwasher tablets, dishcloths etc. The owners have put a lot of thought into what people will need and it's much appreciated. In fact the biggest compliment was paid by my eldest daughter and son in law who live fairly nearby in Pontrhydygroes. They spent Christmas day with us and said we were so re!axed and looked so at home that it was as though we lived there! We shall return as this place must be wonderful in the warmer months."

"This is a perfect holiday for a family get-together in beautiful surroundings. There are brilliant views in all directions and great walks straight from the house. The dogs thought they were in heaven running in and out of the brook, exploring the fields around them or just sitting on the doorstep. They even tried to make friends with the pheasants but luckily they were too quick for them. The 3 young adults enjoyed the quoits game, the table football and swinging on the tree chair as much as lighting the log fires and enjoying the country life. As for us two- we can't wait to return and are already booking for Xmas 2016 . "

"This cottage has been beautifully restored from an old welsh farm house, which houses stunning features. You can tell the owners have invested so much love and time in the reservation; no shortcuts have been taken and they've even included photographs of the past so you can marvel at its history and development. I spent 5 days with my friend and his dog. The hospitality was amazing and they even thought of lovely touches for the dog. The best way of describing the cottage is like a mini utopia. It has a lovely river running alongside it, with a BBQ area and lots of different places to sit down outside and unwind in the sun. We had great fun playing horse shoes and didn't really want to leave the place. There's lots of great walks to exploring from just outside of the door. I'm already planning a second visit!! It's so rare to find somewhere so lovely. We met the owners and they couldn't do enough for us. It was lovely hearing about the history of the place."

"What a lovely little hidden gem! When we finally found this cottage after many hours or torturous driving we were so pleasantly surprised! Driving up the driveway the cottage looked beautiful, surrounded by fields and trees and not a lot else we knew we were off to a good start. The cottage had just newly been renovated and looked superb! very traditional ceilings and open wood burners with a farmers kitchen tiled floor which brought the new and old together so perfectly! The place had everything you would need, from the kitchen being fully kitted out to the freshly displayed towels in the bathrooms, even our dog was provided with all the bits he needed. Even though this cottage felt in the middle of no where there is a very picturesque sea side town called Aberystwyth just 6 miles down the road and here they have everything from quirky shops to good pubs. We would most defiantly stay here again, it was a good time had by us all!"

"We were initially wary of being able to book this accommodation at late notice over Easter, however, as we pulled up outside our fears were allayed. The setting of this farmhouse is beautiful, completely undersold by the original photos on the website. The bridge across the brook is sturdy and the children had fun paddling in the shallow waters. We were blessed with exceptional weather during the week we stayed and spent much of our holiday in the garden, taking advantage of the views of surrounding hills and countryside. The farmhouse itself is newly renovated to a high standard and has wood burners in both reception rooms - providing hours of entertainment for granddad! There is free wifi available and the use of a landline, with honesty box. The customer service was excellent. The welcome pack included homemade cakes, Easter Eggs, activities for the children and a bottle of wine! We were also provided with detailed information on local activities, specific to the week we were staying, including times and prices. We were all very sad to leave at the end of our holiday, with our youngest family member having a full-on meltdown as we tried to get her in the car. I can confidently say that we will be back."
